Working in a "sick building" being exposed to toxic chemicals:

Personal experience: working in a "sick building"
My wife, and a few of our friends worked on a floor in a building where many employees were feeling ill. It's believed they were exposed to toxic chemicals. No one knew the toxic chemicals were there. A Public Broadcasting System (PBS) television program called this type of environment a "sick building."

a chemical used arounf the house or at work EXPOSED! Needing DNA repair immediately

Not all toxic environment symptoms are alike. The following symptoms were reported by the people working on the 23rd floor of the the building. The following symptoms were reported during our experience:

dry mouth bad taste in mouth
light headed dizziness
confusion sleepiness / tiredness
headaches burning nose
memory loss cognitive impairment
chest pains breathing passage pain
weakness numbness of the extremities
short temper depression

Table of "sick building" symptoms

Their employer refused to accept that the building had an environmental problem. The employer blamed the complaints on work related stress. What do you do? Can't quit, got to go to work. This is a problem faced by many individuals. These people remain nameless. These people are not counted any statistics.

After many months of written complaints, the company paid for environmental studies. The conclusion of 3 environmental study reports no problem found. People were still sick. My wife and I took the data from one of these reports and using the Internet researched as much as we could. We went looking for information about the chemical compounds mentioned in the reports. We accessed information from many government agencies including:

  • HAZMAT OnLine Data Base of Toxic substances
  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
  • OSHA, U.S. Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry
  • CERCLIS data base
  • U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
  • Center for Disease Control
  • National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and others.

Profile in courage
We found many problems, but one in particular stood out among the rest. A chemical in a high enough concentrations to damage cellular DNA. A chemical causing every ill health symptom mentioned in the table above. We raised our findings to many senior executives. Only one senior executive, who made the decision to:

  • permit any employee to move off the floor
  • make any effort needed to find new work space
  • or to work from home.

Productivity of the employees dropped dramatically. At great expense, the identified toxins were removed from the floor of the building.

We were fortunate. Without any official statement of guilt, the company paid to correct the toxic building floor. After, re-testing the official environmental study came back with no problem found. Today, the official company position is no problem found before or after the clean-up.

Some studies are unable to test and capture the exact conditions of when the chemicals are present in toxic levels. We are fortunate, because we found (using the Internet), where a chemical's toxic levels are defined. One line, in one study, stated that chemical XXX (intentionally, left blank) was found in unusually high amounts.

Also on our side, we had a single senior manager who made the right decision to protect the employees. It is a lot like President John F. Kennedy, who read the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Report on atomic bomb testing. The report stated "atomic blast testing have radiation levels that are within acceptable limits." Acceptable limits! Who decided what's acceptable?

Within minutes of reading the report, JFK stopped all atomic bomb testing in the US. Within days, JFK got Europe to stop testing, and within months JFK got the Soviet Union to stop atomic bomb testing. We were fortunate. We had a man that made the right (unpopular at the time) decision. This was a time when every world power wanted to make an atomic bomb and blow one up!

Many months later
Many months have past since the "sick building" incident. Some still suffer the effects. One person is permanently effected. A simple walk down a supermarket "soap" isle, brings back all those ill feelings: dizziness, light headed, cognitive impairment, headaches, etc.

Human cells have developed a system which is able to repair the alterations of genetic material, caused by some chemicals. This so-called DNA repair system needs NADH to gain full functionality. The higher the levels of NADH, the better the DNA repair mechanism works.

All the people working in the "sick building" have been offered NADH to help in the repair the damage done to their body. Some take NADH. Most don't understand how NADH can help. This website is built to educate them in gaining a better understanding of NADH and its direct involvement in the body's DNA (genetic code) repair system. This website is built to help people help themselves to regain their health when no other medication or medical treatment program exists.
