Summary:
a pint of blood used in a full lipid profile checkCo-E1® / NADH significantly lowers LDL cholesterol, insulin, and triglyceride blood levels to within normal ranges in about 8 weeks. The daily dosage was 5mg of NADH supplements. In 1997, these clinical results were proven by xxx doctors in a double blind, placebo controlled research study conducted at Georgetown University Medical Center, outside Washington, DC.

Definition of Cholesterol:
Cholesterol is a fat-related compound found in human tissue and blood plasma. It's a steroid. Large concentrations of cholesterol can be found in the brain, spinal cord, and liver. Cholesterol is a necessary component of cell membranes.

High LDL cholesterol comes from eating meats, fatty meat by-products, saturated fats, transfatty acids and partially hydrogenated oils. High LDL cholesterol producing diets are found in fast foods, frozen foods, packaged snacks, almost all cakes, cookies and candy bars.

Cholesterol is synthesized in the liver and is a major precursor in the synthesis of vitamin D and other various steroid hormones. Cholesterol can crystallize in the gall bladder to form gallstones.

Cholesterol travels in the blood with a protein in an organic compound called a lipoprotein. Low-density lipoproteins (LDL) transport cholesterol from the liver to the body's tissues. LDL cholesterol is also known as bad cholesterol. High-density lipoproteins (HDL), known as the good cholesterol, finds and escorts the bad cholesterol out of the blood stream for excretion.

High LDL blood levels, or low HDL blood levels are known to significantly increase the risk of heart attacks, strokes, heart disease and cardiovascular disease. For example, high LDL blood levels cause Artherosclerosis. Artherosclerosis is a cardiovascular disease that deposits and accumulates LDL cholesterol inside the body's blood vessels. It hardens into a substance called arterial plaque. Arterial plaque is known to damage blood vessel walls. This leads to blood clots, heart attacks and strokes.heart medications and drugs

Reducing the consumption of saturated fats has been found to lower LDL cholesterol levels. When bad LDL levels reach 240 or greater (in men) cholesterol is too high and drugs (e.g., lovastatin) are needed to reduce the high risk of heart attack.

Study proves NADH lowers cholesterol levels:
In previous clinical studies of patients taking NADH / Co-E1® for other medical conditions, blood samples were taken and analyzed. Measuring cholesterol levels in the blood was just one of the many blood tests performed.

The early studies indicated a lower cholesterol level in the patients taking NADH. The interpretation of the blood cholesterol data was so exciting that a double blind, placebo controlled, research study was funded to establish whether NADH effected blood cholesterol levels.

medical doctor's symbolDr. H. Preuss, MD, Chairman Department of Nephrology, at Georgetown University Medical Center, conducted the double blind, placebo controlled clinical study. The hypertensive subjects were placed in groups of 10. Daily, each group was given either a placebo or 5mg NADH.

Results:
After 8 weeks, subjects taking the daily dosage of 5mg of NADH had significantly corrected cholesterol conditions. NADH lowered LDL cholesterol, triglycerides and insulin blood levels to within normal levels.

These studies verify the clinical impression that oral NADH / Co-E1® does bring LDL cholesterol, triglycerides and insulin blood levels to within normal ranges in a matter of weeks. These studies are the first to definitively prove that -- NADH has a significant effect in lowering cholesterol.

NADH dosage:
Take NADH / Co-E1® as a nutritional supplement to significantly lower bad cholesterol. Dr. Birkmayer, the inventor of Co-E1 or NADH in oral tablet form, recommends one 5mg NADH tablet a day. When cholesterol levels return to within a normal ranges, take one 5mg NADH tablet, every other day.

Dr. Birkmayer says: "By supplying our body with NADH our body will normalize cholesterol, triglycerides, and insulin blood levels . . . NADH supports the functions of the central nervous system and the energy production in all cells.

Everyone should take NADH daily. Your body will thank you for the additional energy. Your brain will be smarter for using it. NADH will protect you against disease because its the most biologically potent antioxidant."
