Recommendations to Reduce the Risks of
Cardiovascular Disease & Heart Disease

The good news is that anyone can reduce the risk of heart or cardiovascular disease. It takes very simple actions to control high risk factor conditions.

The quickest way to reduce the risks of cardiovascular or heart disease is to take Co-E1 / NADH supplement. NADH successfully treats high blood pressure, LDL bad cholesterol, and high homocysteine levels. Your nutritional supplements should also include vitamins B6, B12 and folic acid. According to Harvard University, the very least you should do is take a folic acid supplement to reduce high homocysteine levels.

A high homocysteine level is a dangerous condition that increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes. The condition remains untreated by most doctors, because the relationship between homocysteines and heart attacks "hasn't been proven without a doubt." With what you know today, you have nothing to lose, and so much to gain.

  • A 1996 European study found that people who reported taking a B vitamin supplement had half the heart disease rates of those who claimed they did not take B vitamins.
  • Another European study showed NADH normalizes metabolism, and has a positive impact on the liver, normalizing homocysteine levels.
  • Other U.S. medical research studies by the government have shown NADH lowers blood pressure and brings cholesterol levels into normal ranges.

Next few years:
Harvard University started a clinically research study in July 1997 to see if a daily folic acid nutritional supplement can help prevent strokes. The results won't be available for years.

need a special blood test to check for homocysteinesUntil the medical evidence is definitive, an annual physical exam isn't likely to include a blood test for homocysteine levels. Government and health insurance industry experts in heart and cardiovascular diseases, have taken the following stand:

  • We will continue to ignore homocysteine levels in the blood in favor of cholesterol tests until the evidence is definitive.

The clinical research work will take time. Our question to you is why wait? With what we know today, you have nothing to lose, and so much to gain. NADH is available here and vitamins B6, B12 and folic acid can be purchased where you buy vitamins.

If you want more information about homocysteine levels, read Dr. McCully's new book, "The Homocysteine Revolution" (242 pages, Keats. $14.95) The damages of homocysteine levels are also discussed in an article "The Heart Attackers", by Geoffrey Cowley, Newsweek, August 11, 1997. page 54:60.

What caused the drop in heart attacks?
What caused the 50% drop in heart attacks with only a 10% drop in bad cholesterol? We believe it was changing homocysteine levels. Maybe you remember this 25 year old advertisement:

W_ _ _ _ bread helps build strong bones in 12 ways.

This bread company, along with most other manufacturers of white bread, used processed flour. For years, processed flour was filled with B vitamins. This is no longer true today. We think B vitamin supplements, processed flour and white bread played a part in cutting the heart attack rate in half.
