Drug companies around the world tried synthesizing their own. The efforts failed. They were unable to stabilize the NADH. And when they were able to stabilize NADH, they found it didn't get absorbed by the body. The drug companies found that the cost of just one NADH treatment would be well beyond what any insurance company would pay for treatment. The drug companies also found NADH doesn't produce immediate results. A patient would have to take many NADH treatments. The treatments could last weeks or even months before the body responds to an illness. The drug companies knew, no insurance company would ever pay for that. Thousands of patients (that could afford it) continued to travel to Austria for treatment at the Birkmayer Institute for Parkinson's Therapy. Patients with Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, the mentally ill, patients suffering from depression, patients suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome, and the list goes on. Many came spending thousands of dollars for NADH treatments. They came for NADH. Another Option: The task they set before them was impossible. Big drug companies couldn't do it. What
makes them think they could? The impossible task these two Doctors would have to perform: create
a stable, absorbable oral form of What would they call it? What does the dictionary call NADH? The dictionary calls it (èn´â-dê). OK then, that will be its new name: EN-A-DA. For years, Drs. Walther and Georg Birkmayer continue their research. They put NADH (both intravenous form and oral) through many clinical trials. They published their research and their successes. Other European Universities read the Birkmayers' work. They too, put NADH through clinical trials. They too, published their successes. During all this time, everyone found NADH to be very fragile substance. Sunlight, humidity, even the standard stuff used in creating the coating on the tablets destroyed the stable form of NADH. They also found that NADH couldn't be stored for more than a couple of days.
It was April 1996. when Georgetown University Medical Center outside Washington D.C. began their clinical trials of NADH. Georgetown is testing a treatment for an incurable, degenerative disease called chronic fatigue syndrome. NADH is about half way through its clinical trials. The results (so far) are excellent. Knowing that NADH was having a positive effect with chronic fatigue, in July 1996, Georgetown University Medical Center began another clinical trial. This time Georgetown was testing a treatment for an incurable, degenerative disease called Alzheimer's disease. The trials are still in progress, and doing very well. Make NADH cheaper so more people can take it:
It is both Dr. Birkmayer and our objective to distribute Co-E1. We know the user of NADH has everything to gain and nothing to lose by trying Co-E1. . . . new subject begins on the next page |
