How safe is NADH?
. . . to the previous pageWhat do consumers say?
The are many thousands of people around the world that are taking NADH / Co-E1 daily
and the numbers are growing. My wife and I, my in-laws, we all take it every day. The
experience with the large number of consumers and patients taking an NADH / Co-E1 tablet
provides the most convincing evidence about its safety.
Outstanding safety & tolerance testing results:
Taking NADH is very safe. The body uses only as much NADH as it
needs. It gets rid of the rest. NADH didn't reach a toxic level when test animals were
given the equivalent of 14,000 times the daily dosage.
Tolerance levels examined closely:
The safety and tolerance levels have been examined closely. Extensive toxicology
studies have been performed which demonstrate the safety of taking NADH. In one study, lab
rats received 1,000 mg/kg in a single intravenous dose. The animals were observed
for 14 days. After 14 days of observation all of the lab rats were still normal. No
effects from the NADH were noticed.
If we were to transfer this dosage into human terms, it would mean that
a single injection of 70,000mg to a 150 lb. person can be tolerated without complication.
This is equivalent to 14,000 5mg tablets in 1 day. Immediately after swallowing 14,000
tablets, you'd show some symptoms related to the treatment (swallowing 14,000 tablets),
but no adverse conditions were related to the NADH..
In other lab tests for NADH toxicity, rats were fed one NADH 5mg tablet
on a daily basis, for 26 weeks. In human terms, this would be 20 5mg tablets per day for
26 weeks (6 months). The results of the study were conclusive:
- There were no clinical signs that could be related to the excessive NADH
treatment.
- All animals, 40 male and 40 female rats, survived and were normal.
- All laboratory parameters tested did not change in comparison to the
control animals and remained within the normal range.
- The body uses NADH as it needs it. Unlike many vitamins, cells do not
build up to toxic levels.
The findings of
toxicology studies
and safety tests.
NADH was found safe when tested at a daily dosage that is equivalent to 14,000
tablets 5mg in 1 day. The cells never reached a toxic level with NADH. Some vitamins would
be toxic enough to kill the body, at dosages 1/10th this amount. NADH never became
toxic.
An NADH dosage at 26 times the daily recommended 5mg amount was
administered for 6 months. Tests showed no adverse symptoms were related to the treatment,
not even after six months. In fact, NADH / Co-E1 is considered so safe that individual
dosage levels may be custom tailored to suit individual health or training needs.
