In the cycle of life, there are lots of things we could explore, but our focus
remains on the biology of energy generation. We now look closely at nature's process
called cellular respiration, where human energy (ATP) is created.

It took 7 million years for the human brain to reach its current state
of evolution. The brain has figured out that a human being is made up of a mind, a body
& a spirit. While the spirit is free, the mind is housed in a physical human
body.
The physical human body is a carbon based machine that needs energy to run. Most of us
think of the body when it needs to breathe, eat, or sleep. Look closely. The body
is a beautiful network of individual systems working together.  There are 60 trillion cells
in the human body. There are more cells in the body than stars in the galaxy. We focus on
one mystery in this galaxy: the cell's ability to generate energy. The red arrows point to
the cell's mitochondria. This is where cellular energy is created.
So many unknowns
Do you ever wonder why doctors and scientists who are supposed to be
knowledgeable know so little. The answer is simple: the vast amounts of information. For a
doctor to know everything about the body, would be like a scientist to know everything
about the stars in the galaxy.
